Waterside Community Forum Information Session

24 February 2010

Having recently merged the Waterside Rural Community Forum and the Waterside Urban Community Forum the newly established Waterside Community Forum is holding an information session in Clooney Hall on Thursday 4th March at 2.00pm. The information session will be attended by both statutory and voluntary/community organisations that provide a service in the Waterside area. Groups attending the session include Citizen’s Advice Bureau, PSNI, Community Safety Wardens, District Policing Partnership, NIHE, Neighbourhood Watch and Foyle Women’s Aid.

Speaking about the event. Newbuildings community representative, Alison Wallace said,

“This is the first information event of this kind organised by the new Waterside Community Forum and we are delighted at the number of organisations that have agreed to attend. The event is an ideal opportunity for residents of the waterside to receive information on some of the organisations providing important services in our neighbourhoods. I would encourage as many people as possible to attend the event. The event is targeted at all waterside businesses, communities and individuals.”
