Sustrans Derry/Londonderry Connect2 CYCLE TRAINING Improve Your Cycling and Group Ride Leadership (Free)
With the creation of the new Peace Bridge and riverside cycle paths, Derry/Londonderry is becoming more and more cycle friendly and to mark that a fantastic bike training event is planned for the city.
December 7th will see Patricia Wallace, from Sustrans, give the first of a series of training sessions to improve basic cycling skills and to prepare participants for becoming a group ride leader, which in turn leads to the possibility of cycle instructor training.
This is a rare opportunity for local cyclists provided by Sustrans Big Lottery Project in partnership with Derry City Council and funded by the Department of Regional Development and the Western Health and Social Care Trust.
The training will start at Cafe Del Mondo at 10.00 am (Foyle Street Entrance) followed by a cycle around the city. Register for the event by emailing patricia.wallace@sustrans.org.uk. An event not to be missed by all cycling enthusiasts.
