Leisure and Culture
Derry City Council recognizes that Leisure and Culture in its widest sense has a major impact on the quality of life in the community helping communities to come together in sharing a sense of identity.
The city’s vibrant energy and attitude to life have helped to shape the city’s future plans and set this thriving regional hub apart. This optimism was recognised earlier this year when it made history by becoming the first ever UK City of Culture in 2013.
Here you can find more information on leisure centre/ park opening times, the Walled City Market, event and festival listings together with what the UK City of Culture 2013 is set to bring to the city.
